Sanandha Prabu

Sanandha Prabu is a youth changemaker, researcher, and creative advocate dedicated to advancing dignity, representation, and equity for marginalized communities. At just 14 years old, without institutional backing or an established network, Sanandha founded Semua Sehat—a youth-led initiative created to support the often-overlooked Gerobak community in Bandung, Indonesia. What began as a local grassroots effort has since grown into a multi-faceted campaign for social change, directly impacting over 500 people while pioneering ethical research, artistic storytelling, and global advocacy. Sanandha’s work bridges the gap between field research and public engagement. She has conducted and published two primary research studies documenting critical, underreported issues including period poverty and reproductive health—one of which centered on the lived experiences of 500 Gerobak women. Beyond academic research, Sanandha transforms these narratives into global dialogue through two TEDx talks, visual art, and documentary films that have earned recognition at over 12 international film festivals. By continuously finding new ways to turn lived experience into action, Sanandha exemplifies what sustained social impact looks like when driven by passion, integrity, and relentless purpose.
