The Social Impact Business of the Year Award celebrates a business that puts purpose alongside profit, tackling a social problem through what it sells, who it employs or how it operates.
The judges look for a clear purpose, measurable change and a business model that sustains it.
Eligibility
Open to businesses of any size and sector, including social enterprises, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
Judging criteria
- Entries are judged on the social change achieved
- How purpose is built into the business
- Evidence of impact and the sustainability of the model
Qualitative criteria
- Clarity of vision and offer
- Reputation with customers and partners
- Culture and the team behind the business
Metrics
- Revenue and growth
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Jobs created or retained
Additional criteria
- Include figures for the last one to two years
- Examples of standout work and testimonials from customers or partners
