The Scale-up of the Year Award celebrates a business that has moved beyond its start and is growing quickly in turnover, team and reach.
The judges look for sustained growth, the systems and leadership to hold it, and ambition backed by results.
Eligibility
Open to businesses in any sector with average growth of 20% a year or more over the last two to three years, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
Judging criteria
- Entries are judged on the rate and quality of growth
- How the business has built to sustain it
- Leadership
- Plans for the next stage
Qualitative criteria
- Clarity of vision and offer
- Reputation with customers and partners
- Culture and the team behind the business
Metrics
- Revenue and growth
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Jobs created or retained
Additional criteria
- Include figures for the last one to two years
- Examples of standout work and testimonials from customers or partners
