- Open to women-identifying scientists, technologists, researchers and innovators
- Academia, industry, public sector and start-ups are all eligible
- Must be able to evidence significant scientific or technical contribution

- Advancement: the scientific or technical progress she has made
- Application: how her work is used or benefits people
- Inspiration: encouragement of others into science and technology
- Recognition: standing among her peers
Qualitative criteria
- Intellectual curiosity and rigour
- Perseverance
- Collaborative approach
- Advocate for women in science

- Publications, patents or breakthroughs
- Funding, grants or investment secured
- Products or technologies brought to use
