Inspirational Woman recognises a woman whose journey and example move others to believe they can do more. She may have overcome adversity, broken new ground or simply shown remarkable determination, and she uses her story to encourage and support those who follow. Judges look for the people she has inspired and the difference that inspiration has made.
Eligibility
- Open to women-identifying individuals in any walk of life, sector or role
- Paid, voluntary and community roles are all eligible
- Must be able to show the effect she has had on others
Judging criteria
- Her story: the challenges faced and what she achieved
- Inspiration: evidence that others have been encouraged or changed by her example
- Giving back: how she supports, mentors or speaks up for others
- Lasting difference: the legacy of her work
Qualitative criteria
- Resilience and courage
- Authenticity and openness
- Generosity with time and experience
- Positive, motivating presence
Metrics
- People mentored, supported or reached
- Talks, events or programmes led
- Testimonials from those she has inspired
- Community, charity or campaign outcomes
Additional criteria
- Achievements should fall mainly within the last three years
