Eligibility
Open to independently owned pubs and free houses, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.

- Quality of drinks and food
- Community involvement
- Customer reviews and business performance
Qualitative criteria
- Clarity of concept and offer
- Reputation with guests and partners
- Culture and the team behind the business
Metrics
- Revenue and growth
- Guest satisfaction, reviews and repeat business
- Jobs created or retained
Additional criteria
- Include figures for the last one to two years
- Examples of standout work and testimonials from guests or partners
